b'Charles Shaughnessy is best known to television audiences as Shane Donovan from NBC Daytime\'s "Days of our Lives," as well as Maxwell Sheffield from the sitcom, "The Nanny."
Shaughnessy\'s portrayal of Shane alongside former co-star Patsy Pease (Kim Brady) was loved by the fans and was deemed a supercouple. He reprised the role in May 2010 in a storyline associated with Alice Horton/Frances Reid\'s passing.
Shaughnessy would then go on to play Maxwell Sheffield on "The Nanny" alongside Fran Drescher.\\xa0 He then would reunite with Drescher on the former WB show, "Living with Fran" as Fran\'s ex-husband.
