Psalm 34
by Jonathan Ng
We are bombarded with plenty of opportunities to be fearful and anxious in our present day. One simply has to turn on the news! How shall we respond? Is sheer determination “not to fear” enough? No. Rather, Psalm 34 encourages us to taste and see that the Lord is good (Psalm 34:8) and exhorts us to direct our fear to the One who can deliver, and who has overcome evil! Though we may suffer alongside others, our hope rests with the One who has conquered death, and given us eternal life. This hope is revealed in a functioning, active, and beating heart faith. In this timely message, Jonathan expounds on Psalm 34 reminding us of whom we shall fear while outlining 7 characteristics of a person with a functional faith.
