Burgess Owens, author of Liberalism: Or How to Make Good Men Whiners, Weenies & Wimps. Joins us!!! We'll be discussing everything from his new book, culture prtoblems in our inner city to the NFL protests.
Burgess was raised in the segregated Deep South community of Tallahassee, Florida. He was the third Black American to be offered a football scholarship at the University of Miami, Coral Cable, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology/Chemistry and gained national recognition as a First Team All-American Defensive Back. He was inducted to the Hall of Fame of Outstanding College Athletes of America and later to the University of Miami’s Hall of Fame and the Orange Bowl Ring of Honor.

Burgess was a First round pick of the New York Jets’  He led the Raiders defensive squad in tackles during their Championship season and during the 1981 Super Bowl XV game. He led the team in interceptions his final season, in 1982, and was also selected to the NFL All Pro-Bowl, as First Alternate.

Super bowl Champion, Burgess Owens has shown throughout his life a passion for the pursuit of excellence. At the core of his message is optimism that is both inspiring and instructional. As he uplifts our system of government, the freedom and opportunity available because of it, his mantra is embodied in two words…”Dream Big”. Burgess discusses what it takes to win, regardless of ones circumstances, background, color or culture. He encourages all to dream bigger, expect more, risk more, struggle more and win more.
