Specializing in cross-disciplinary collaboration across legal, data, and technical teams, Anne\\u2019s recent work explores\\xa0 scalable technical controls to apply policy restrictions to machine\\xa0 learning models, and best practices for transparency, fairness and empowerment in user experience design.\\xa0

As an adjunct Professor at Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, Anne co-teaches a course on Data Science and its Implications that\\xa0 outlines the power and social consequences of data science, data\\xa0 visualization, and AI. \\xa0

Anne is a graduate of University of California,\\xa0 Hastings College of Law and a member of the California Bar. She received\\xa0 an undergraduate degree in Computer Science and Art from Bowdoin\\xa0 College.\\xa0

In the first chapter of her career, Anne was a technical product\\xa0 manager at a software company serving the newspaper industry, and then the founding CTO of an e-commerce and affiliate marketing business.\\xa0

Her\\xa0 second chapter as a lawyer began as an associate in the Los Angeles offices of Christie, Parker & Hale, and then Foley & Lardner,\\xa0 before moving in house to lead Hulu\\u2019s IP, Technology, and Privacy work. \\xa0

From 2013 to 2022, Anne led Nike\\u2019s Global Privacy, Digital, and\\xa0 Technology Legal team in her role as Chief Privacy Officer and Digital\\xa0 Transformation Counsel \\u2014 focusing on issues of Privacy, Cybersecurity,\\xa0 and Data Localization, Wearable Tech, Ethical AI, and Global Content\\xa0 Moderation.
