Today Alex and John from Ninja Software delve into the world of Paul Nicholls, Director of Research Partnerships at Curtin University. Paul is responsible for the university’s Demand Driven research strategy which aims to help industry and government get better access university to R&D capability.

With an extensive and very distinguished background in research and education across WA, Paul is one of the most powerful leaders in connecting the university with industry and government.
 
Of massive interests to Tech Society is his critical role in shaping ICT & Emerging Technology across WA.

Listen on to see how Paul is involved with the Square Kilometre Array and Pawsey Supercomputing Centre. These initiatives have since attracted over $50 million AUD of research investment by organisations such as Woodside Energy, CSIRO/Data61, Singtel Optus, BHP, Alcoa and Roy Hill. It has also enabled investments in Cooperative Research Centres in Mining Exploration, Digital Health, Smart Satellites and Food Agility.
