If you didn't already know that Rose Tico is a polarizing character in the Disney era of Star Wars, you're probably living under a rock.

While Jar Jar Binks was clearly the most hated character of the Prequel Trilogy, no one in the Disney era of Star Wars has been more attacked than Rose Tico. The things some supposed fans have said about her, and Kelly Marie Tran - the actor who plays her - have been absolutely horrible. But Rose Tico has a very important lesson to teach us about the real world we live in today. We just have to be willing to hear it.

This week, we look at Rose and how her character is faced with harsh truths about her heroes and cause. But she faces those truths and comes out on the other side stronger because of it.
