She went on to grad school and won a scholarship, partly based on a submitted essay. It began, \\u201cI need to get bread, carrots, and shaving cream tomorrow at the grocery store. Did I move the clothes from the washer to the dryer?\\u201d
These were the thoughts that were going through my mind the night I was physically attacked, beaten, and sexually assaulted.\\u201d

Today and next week we will hear the Story of Lauren and how she recovered after surviving acquaintance rape.
