Sex Ed in Austin Tx. & Seth Dunlap Threatens “Scorched Earth”... Gets Fired

The Austin Independent School District has drafted a sex education curriculum that teaches children sexually explicit material, how to obtain abortions, and how to get to an abortion clinic without a parent’s help, among other topics. Seth Dunlap, an openly gay sports host on WWL New Orleans, claimed that the radio station tweeted a homophobic slur at him in September and allegedly demanded $1.8 million from the station, threatening to go “scorched earth” over the tweet. The radio station has fired Dunlap claiming that he wrote the tweet, and law enforcement officials are now looking into charges against Dunlap. GLAAD has published its annual “Where We Are on TV” report (which examines the number of LGBTQ characters on television) and has made their new demands for television.
