In the state of\xa0Colorado\xa0a battle of gun rights has been brewing as\xa0House Bill 1177\xa0(Extreme Risk Protection Orders)\xa0moves towards the Governor's desk.\xa0If the bill\xa0becomes law it\xa0would allow family members or law enforcement to petition a judge to issue a temporary extreme risk protection order for a person thought to be a threat, after which that person\u2019s weapons could be seized for up to a year.\xa0Several\xa0Colorado jurisdictions have passed resolutions denouncing the bill.\xa0Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser in response to those resolutions issued a statement telling local law enforcement that they swore an \u201coath to uphold the rule of law\u201d.\xa0Lesley Hollywood,\xa0Founder of Rally for our Rights, will join me to discuss\xa0the issue\xa0and the\xa0group's\xa0efforts to defend Second Amendment rights in Colorado.\xa0Don't forget about the Edwards Notebook and the Veteran's Tip of the Day!
