NPR Won't Waste Their Time & Danielle D'Souza Gill Will Discuss The Choice

Published: Oct. 23, 2020, 11 p.m.

NPR managing editor Terence Samuels explained to readers that the Hunter Biden laptop story is a waste of their time. President Donald Trump signed an executive order late making it easier to hire and fire certain government employees. Fresno County District Attorney Lisa Smittcamp expressed her anger with California Democratic governor Gavin Newsom at a press conference dealing with the surge in violent crime caused by the release of criminals from prisons. For fifty years the abortion debate has remained stagnant, trapped in sterile categories and familiar rhetoric. Danielle D'Souza Gill, in a pathbreaking new book, blows the lid off the abortion debate, which is radically different than it was when the Supreme Court issued its landmark ruling of Roe v. Wade in 1973. Technology has transformed the landscape and allowed people to see development in the womb. Ultrasound has rendered many old assumptions about abortion obsolete. Danielle D'Souza Gill is scheduled to join me to discuss her book, The Choice: The Abortion Divide in America, and her thoughts on the possibility of Roe v. Wade being overturned.
