Luke and Rachel are not fans of most superhero movies, but with a goofy trailer and strong buzz, Shazam appeared to be nothing like most superhero movies. Unfortunately, the latest cinematic installment in the DC Extended Universe is so basic it feels like it could have been released 15 years ago to capitalize on the success of Sam Raimi's Spider-Man films. Just minutes after leaving the theater, your favorite podcast couple sits down to work out why Shazam falls so flat.

NOTE: This episode is plagued by occasional Talk Movies To Me supervillain: Random Clicking. Specifically, the final 5-10 minutes feature clicking noises of unknown origin that thwarted all of Luke's best attempts to fight back. Hopefully we'll put a stop to these evil antics once and for all before they get a chance to wreak havoc on our unsuspecting podcast again.
