After covering 24 movies in a row from home, Talk Movies To Me is finally back in theaters! And despite initially being more excited by that fact alone than actually watching Raya and the Last Dragon, Luke and Rachel were pleasantly surprised by the film and all of its gorgeous worldbuilding, even wishing the story had been spread across multiple films to allow a deeper dive into the many unique cultures created for this original fantasy tale. However, with the worldbuilding also comes world-breaking, a disappointing trend that continues here as Disney insists on undercutting its own narrative with jokes and gags that pander to its youngest audiences instead of trusting them to enjoy good storytelling without all the fluff.
