It was first developed in 1998 as a small club in the Dayton, Ohio area. Founded by Kevin Lee Wagner, he was able to establish a solid group of dedicated students training in the art of American Kenpo Karate. Along the years, Kevin branched out in his training, and developed his skills as a fighter and instructor in the Counterpoint Tactical System, as well as Cacoy Doce Pares Eskrima/Eskrido. With this, his physical development and instructional tastes migrated to the more integrated weapons based system of training, and he began to develop his new club in a similar way.
