Reminiscent of 90's alternative music, the band blends traditional pop song structures, low fi indie influences with a singer/songwriter approach. Drawing from a variety of different artists such as Tom Petty, The Cars, Beck, and The White Stripes. AVOYO started as a solo project formed by producer, guitarist, and song writer James Crabtree. As a solo project AVOYO had previously independently released two full length albums and now as a performing band have a new EP titled "Vines On The Lines" set to release during the fall of 2017. A Voice Of Your Own currently consists of James Crabtree (guitar/vocals), Johnny McConnel (bass), Levi Short (guitar) Rick Shutte (guitar) and Matt Mihalus (drums).
