b'Sex Workers Outreach Project USA
Welcome to the new and improved SWOP-USA website! We’re going through many changes as an organization and a digital overhaul is part of that. You’ll find an entirely new resource section, our Chapter Hub site has moved here, and we’ll also be producing significantly more resource sheets in the coming months.

Sex Workers Outreach Project-USA is a national social justice network dedicated to the fundamental human rights of people involved in the sex trade and their communities, focusing on ending violence and stigma through education and advocacy.

Staff Profile: Alexandria LaRue (Chapter Director)
What brings you to work at SWOP USA?

After spending the last ten years organizing and the last decade working with sex workers, I knew this was the next best step. I realized that the changes I wanted to see for marginalized sex workers meant big moves and I wanted to be somewhere I could make that happen.

Staff Profile: Velvet (Managing Director)
What brings you to work at SWOP-USA?

I’ve been a sex worker for over a decade, and have been organizing for decriminalization for many years. It just makes sense to officially join an organization doing work I have admired for so long.

Staff Profile: Phoenix Calida (Communications Director)
What brings you to work at SWOP-USA

As silly as it sounds? A desire to make the world a better place. The sex worker rights movement hasn’t always been inclusive to non cis folks, non white folks, and other multiply marginalized sex workers. This is the time to move forward with the movement and focus on inclusivity. I want sex workers from a diverse range of backgrounds to feel accepted and welcomed into sex worker rights activism. My goal is help push SWOP into an org that will give sex workers a feeling of safety and security.'
