This is the beginning of the second week of this Advent season where we link bible passages for the day with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals that 193 countries adopted to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all as part of a new sustainable development agenda to be achieved by 2030.

Today's quotations are from Romans 15:4 New International Version (NIV)

"For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope."

If you want a little more about the SDG's, there are several Apps available
I found #GlobalGoals in the apple store as well as SDGs in Action.

There are several books that I would suggest:

The Sustainable Development Goals published by the UN

Negotiating the Sustainable Development Goals, A Transformational Agenda for an insecure World

Atlas of Sustainable Development Goals 2017 from world development indicators
