Subject:CINEMA MICRO Focus #6 - "Brick"

Published: Feb. 8, 2012, 7:33 p.m.

Welcome to Subject:CINEMA MICRO Focus! Each week, hosts TC Kirkham and Kim Brown will take on a single film and analyze it front to back, side to side, and everything in-between! We’re finally up and running, (no) thanks to Mevio…

THIS WEEK: It was a little film that won an "Originality Of Vision" award at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival, and the following year, walked off with FOUR Poppies and Two Rosies, including the Poppy for Best Picture 2006. There is nothing quite like this film out there - a scarily accurate old fashioned noir film set in the perfect dramatic setting: high school. This week, TC and Kim tackle director Rian Johnson's first film, the 2006 indie classic BRICK.

SCMF is part of the Popcorn N Roses family of shows, which includes our parent show, Subject:CINEMA, available every weekend at http://subjectcinema.com and  http://popcornnroses.com (and don’t worry, they go to the same site….)

We hope you’ll be back every week – don’t forget to subscribe to SC MICRO Focus and listen every week, a new show will be up every Wednesday evening!
