b'Originally from Akron, Ohio, Don Day is the director of strength & conditioning for Olympic Sports for Georgia Southern Athletics, a role he assumed in May of 2019. He moved into this role after serving as the assistant director for the football team in the 2018-19 year. In his position, he oversees all aspects of strength & conditioning for 16 Eagle sports out of Iron Works.\\n\\nDay came to Statesboro after serving as the interim director of strength & conditioning at the University of Buffalo.\\n\\nDay has also contributed as a columnist for EliteFTS.com and also has had stops at Western Kentucky University, American University, Robert Morris University and The University of Akron.\\n\\nAt American, he worked with the track/cross country program and designed the speed/agility program for men\\u2019s/women\\u2019s soccer and field hockey. At Robert Morris, he worked with the softball and football program.\\n\\nDay received his Master\\u2019s at the University of Akron in sports science and coaching while doing his graduate assistantship with the football strength staff.
