Steve is joined by his best friend Phil to cover season 2 of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. In the season premiere title "The Broken Circle," they discuss their history with Star Trek, what makes a great Starfleet captain, what their catchphrase would be, as well as recap the episode beat by beat.

This first episode sees Captain Pike take a back seat to Mr. Spock, who leads the team on a daring rescue mission to aid Lieutenant Singh. M\'Benga and Nurse Chapel juice up to fight some Klingons, and we are introduced to the Enterprise\'s newest engineer!
