Boy have I got a show for you. I have told exactly four people to watch the show because I wanted other reactions before I did this actual podcast episode. Honestly, this show is very different. It\'s most certainly not everyone\'s cup of tea. I can tell you. The reviews from these people are so varied and so mixed.\\xa0

One is absolutely addicted. One wants to kill me for bringing it to their attention. One hated it and won\'t ever watch it again. The last one texts me about the show every time a new episode comes out. This week we are talking about one of the creepiest shows I\'ve seen in a long while. This week we are discussing Servant from Apple TV.

  • [02:59] Apple programming has really high-quality production. They have quality over quantity, at this point.\\xa0
  • [03:29] This show is so out of the box. It\'s described as American psychological horror television. The show is creepy.
  • [04:00] I love M. Night Shyamalan. If you\'re familiar with his movies, you\'ll know that there\'s a creepy factor to them.
  • [04:28] He\'s only directed one episode and that one is titled Jericho.
  • [04:48] I watched the entire season. Then I went back and watched the trailer so I wouldn\'t give away too many things.
  • [05:03] The show is 30 minutes long to keep the creepiness factor up, and it worked.
  • [05:52] We have a mom and a dad. The dad is a chef and his wife is a news correspondent. They hire a nanny to come to their home and care for their son Jericho.
  • [06:20] The problem is that Jericho is a doll.
  • [07:02] The doll is for connection therapy for the wife and mom.\\xa0
  • [07:27] The nanny is played by Nell Tiger Free and is as creepy as all get out.\\xa0
  • [07:42] The woman who plays the mom is Lauren Ambrose who used to be on Six Feet Under.
  • [08:41] I hate movies like Saw. I like movies where you hear someone in the house.
  • [09:06] This movie was not a trigger to me in anyway.\\xa0
  • [10:13] This was an entertaining crazy show, and I loved every second of it.
  • [10:17] In a nutshell, I\'m giving this show 4 Spanx. I like scary things, and I like creepy things. This is both.
  • [10:31] I love M. Night Shyamalan and the effects and darkness he brings two things.
  • [10:44]\\xa0 I can\'t give the show 5 Spanx if Lauren Ambrose is going to be on season 2. The show has already been renewed for season 2.
  • [11:25] I could see Rachel McAdams or Kirsten Dunst as the newscaster.
