Oh let\'s talk about it. You\'ve heard about it. You\'ve read about it. You know that numerous awards have been given to it, but have you watched it? I don\'t know why, but my gut tells me no. Critics are watching it. I have a feeling James Corden watched it. I know that Hollywood was watching it, but were we watching it? Are stay-at-home moms, bank tellers, and Margie down the road watching it? I\'m just not sure.\\xa0

It\'s gained so much notoriety and won so many awards and yet no one in my circle is talking about it. Just so you know, I have several circles, and they\'re big. I have to believe the reason you haven\'t been watching this is because you\'ve been waiting on me. That\'s sweet and I get it. That\'s why I watched it for you. Ladies and gentlemen today we discuss Fleabag.

  • [01:57] Phoebe Waller-Bridge is the writer, creator, and star of Fleabag.
  • [02:11] I like a woman who says, "I\'m going to be on TV and if I have to create it myself, I will."
  • [02:15] I like somebody who is funny and quick. I think she\'s talented.
  • [02:31] Any awards she has won, she deserves. It\'s the show, I\'m not wild about.
  • [03:01] One of the things that makes Fleabag kind of different is breaking the fourth wall. That\'s the moment when they look at the camera and talk to you.
  • [03:12] This used to never be done. Now it\'s been done in Parks & Recreation and Modern Family, The Office, and even House of Cards.
  • [03:37] Her\'s isn\'t a mockumentary style. She\'s just looking at the camera and talking. She gets away with it.
  • [04:06] Olivia Colman is also in the show. She just won best actress for The Favourite. She\'s phenomenal in everything that she does. In the last few episodes of Fleabag, I was watching for her.
  • [04:25] Season 2 got better because they introduced the storyline of the hot priest.
  • [04:45] I didn\'t think season 1 was terrible. I didn\'t think season 2 was extravagant and glorious. It\'s just not my type of show and that\'s okay.
  • [05:27] I can spot talent, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge is talented. There\'s just a rhythm that I can\'t get into.\\xa0
  • [06:12] Don\'t watch the show if you\'re easily offended.
  • [06:53] For this show, I\'m only putting on 2 Spanx!
  • [07:06] Ones for Olivia Colman and the other ones for Phoebe Waller-Bridge.
