This series on the origin of thoughts presents a constructive answer. I\\u2019m not sure why others are not answering this question, or why other approaches to understanding thought don\\u2019t provide us with more opportunity to ask the question. The topic does get complicated, but in this series I focus on the basic idea.

In this series I\\u2019ll sketch my theory of threshold awareness and what goes on beneath it. Subsequent installments will explore both normal and abnormal thought processes.
