Tonight's special guest is Timothy Phelps from Somerset, Kentucky, survivor of violence and neglect. In elementary school, Timothy remembers coming home one day and seeing hate and pure darkness radiating from his mothers eyes. He would spend much time with his nose in a corner, with his hands held high. If he became tired and allowed his arms to lower, he would receive a blow from whatever his mother could get her hands on, or simply have his head slammed into the wall. This abuse caused many self doubts, anxieties, fears, and a strong desire to die. Phelps would begin seeking a relationship with God after almost being successful in his suicide attempt, only coming back to life after hearing a voice say, “I’m not done with you yet.” In 2019, after feeling called to tell his story, Phelps wrote his book 'The Invisible Child: Overcoming the Odds', published in 2020. He has forgiven his parents, has built a relationship with them, and received their blessing in his journey to help others, by telling of his experiences. He is the founder of Phelps Can Help, LLC, where he coaches and helps others with their own personal transformation, for the lifestyle they truly deserve.
