Tonight's special guest is Charles J Stecker Jr from Marshalls Creek, Pennsylvania, a child abuse transcender as well as a previous guest of our show. You may recognize Charles’ name because he is the Host for our Wednesday evening 'special guest' "Stop Child Abuse Now" talk radio show. During his childhood, Charles endured every type of abuse any child has the misfortune of experiencing. At the age of 4, he witnessed the murder of his 2-year-old brother at the hands of one of their abusers. After 10 years in foster care, Charles was returned to his biological mother where he endured almost 6 more years of horrendous abuse and neglect. He says being murdered alongside his brother would have been more merciful than what his mother put him through. Charles took the negativity from his childhood and transformed himself into who he is today. His alter-ego is 'Transcenderman', a Superhero for Abused Children. He currently serves as the Executive Director of a HUD Approved Housing Counseling Agency, where he is also a HUD Certified Housing Counselor. He holds a seat on his local children and youth advisory board. Charles sits on several non-profit boards where he serves as an officer for them. They are Integra Home Counseling Inc., where he serves as Board President, the Pocono Mountain Community Land Trust as Board Secretary, and here at NAASCA, where he serves as our Board Secretary. Charles co-authored a book titled, “Lattie McGee and Dr. Gottfried". He is an Honorably Discharged US Armed Forces Veteran and a multi-award winning child advocate.
