b'Prior to June, 2001, a newsworthy event at Potter Park outside of Lansing, Michigan would be music being played too loud from a car stereo. Occasionally, police would be called on a report of kids drinking alcohol in the parking lot after dark. That changed in the middle of a perfect summer afternoon, when a shot rang out, and a 41-year-old mother of two fell to the ground. The shot had come from a high-powered rifle, and the sniper hadn\\u2019t been seen by any witnesses. Bernita White had been walking into the park\\u2019s zoo with her 5-year-old daughter. For nearly 18 years, Bernita\\u2019s shooting death has gone unsolved.
