We all battle loneliness at some point in our lives as we don't know if we should keep going or take a break from life. Feeling alone can come of nowhere in life as we cannot plan to be alone or feel lonely it just happens out of the blue. At some point it feels like our prayers don't get above the ceiling. It is depressing when we feel lonely. However we should be thankful for the lonely seasons we go through time after time, because we get to witness God's unfailing love and faithfulness. Feeling alone is the worst way of being hurt and feeling the pain in life. You can be in a crowd and still feel like you are alone when you are not connected to anyone. In Genesis chapter 2, God made a man and then said, "It is not good that a man should be alone." That's why God made a woman, to be a companion for a man.
