Episode 38: Clifton Gray

Published: Dec. 6, 2017, 4:24 p.m.

I first saw improvisor Clifton Gray performing a long-form solo show. Which means just like it used to say on my dating profile, he's used to being all alone, figuring things out as he goes.

Clifton met me at Urban Beans to talk about having the freedom to be yourself onstage, why some styles work better than others, and how you end up onstage with a tuba and a pie.

If you are curious about long-form improv, The Torch Theatre hosts a free drop-in class on the first Saturday of every month where you can test the waters, followed by an open play session called Bingo Jam. The next one is January 6, class at 2:30, sign up for the jam at 6:30, more details at thetorchtheatre.com.

If you are an improvisor looking to get onstage, Cagematch is offered every Saturday night at 10PM. Learn more details and sign up here.

Don't forget to rate, review and subscribe everywhere! Really.
