What kinds of messages does the church send about being single? And what do these messages make us believe--about ourselves, our future, and God? The church isn't the only potential "trigger" for single people: so are friends falling in love, getting engaged, having babies. Birthdays. Holidays. The list goes on.

The lies whispered to us during these times are so easy to agree with, and they can quickly lead to anger and despair. In this episode of the Starlight podcast, we speak these lies out loud, even the ones we don't like to admit to ourselves. Turns out, the lies that come to single people have some similarities, and pretending they're not there doesn't make them go away.
