b'Embassador Sarek has been working for much of his career to negotiate with the Lagarens and really only he is able to conduct the negotiations however he is suffering from a rare Vulcan illness that effects the mind and causes Vulcans to loose control of their emotions. Captain Picard and crew must try to convince Sarek (sensitively) that he should postpone the negotiations but he is unwilling to do so.
