Jeanne has a passion to help empower her clients to eat well and enjoy an active, healthy life at any age. She has followed a career path that has earned her recognition as an expert in food, nutrition and healthy aging. She received her B.S. Degree in Clinical Nutrition from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1979.In the early 80\\u2019s, as co-owner of Cornucopia, she innovated services such as home delivered gourmet meals for people on special diets. She specialized in lifestyle change through personalized food programs and support. Over the past 35 years, she has provided nutrition services for a broad range of clients including Pritikin Systems Inc., Kathy Smith, the LA Kings, Mattel Corp., Unocal, Chez Melange Inc. and Richard Simmons, where she helped launch his successful Deal- A-Meal program in 70 + healthclubs across the country.


As a writer, she has authored numerous scientific and general interest articles for peer-reviewed journals and magazines and was the featured dietitian on several TV appearances for her integrative, yet traditional approaches, to eating well. For her various nutrition leadership roles at the state and national levels, she was Named California Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year in 1990.


Currently, she is co-founder of the Nourishing Wellness Medical Center with Doc Allen, her husband of 34 years. She offers personalized nutrition coaching, whole foods cooking classes & Healthy Aging seminars geared towards women and men who want to be nourished by the \\u201cfountain of youth.\\u201d
To balance her career life, Jeanne enjoys working in her edible organic garden, preserving cultured foods, raising 7 heirloom backyard chickens and cooking from her garden for her extended family of 3 amazing boys, their wives and girlfriend plus 3 very active grandkids.


What\\u2019s her secret for healthy aging? \\u2026\\u201cI enjoy daily yoga, strength training or biking to work to cultivate my vitality. My body thrives on 7+ hours of quality sleep. I prefer to eat a rainbow of colorful peppers instead of popping colorful pills. I LOVE finding NATURAL solutions to everyday health problems.
