This week is dedicated to another John Carpenter horror classic, 1982's The Thing, being a remake of The Thing from Another World (1951) and based on the the 1938 novella, Who Goes There? by John W. Campbell. The practical effects and the tense atmosphere are the stars of this movie, although Kurt Russell sure does a damn find job on the acting side as well.
