Searching for Meaning with Tom Vaughan

Published: Dec. 28, 2022, 2 a.m.

This week I’m joined by writer, businessman and everyman philosopher Tom Vaughan. Tom is well known as being ‘king of the London party scene’ after launching Juliana’s discotheques in the 1960s with his brother. Together, they grew company to hold international offices in New York, London, Sydney and Singapore.

Since then his life has come full circle - with no scientific, philosophical or theological training and few school qualifications but armed with heaps of life experience as an entrepreneur, Tom has felt the call to switch gear to take on the role of ‘everyman philosopher’.

He’s written a new book  that aims to unpick the big questions most of us spend our lives avoiding: how did life begin, how does it end, what happens to us after we die and why are we here?

The book is called Hope…and the Hedgehog and you can find Tom online at tomvaughan.com
