Results from last night\\u2019s AEW Dynamite and NXT are straight ahead in this update but first\\u2026

(STINGER: AEW)

\\n\\n

A BIG announcement from AEW earlier in the day Wednesday. It announced the signing of Paul Wight - better known as the Big Show.

\\n\\n

AEW says Wight will join the commentary team alongside Tony Shiavone for a new YouTube show: AEW Dark: Elevation. It was also mentioned on Dynamite that Wight is licensed to wrestle in AEW. Wight is set to appear on next week\\u2019s Dynamite.

\\n\\n

The new weekly show will debut on Monday, March 15th at 7PM.

\\n\\n

Also on Wednesday, Tony Khan tweeted that a second AEW show for TNT or another WarnerMedia outlet is still in the works for sometime this year.

\\n\\n

Lance Archer is in the 6-man Ladder Match at Revolution, where the winner gets a shot at the TNT Championship. Archer beat Rey Fenix in the main event of last night\\u2019s Dynamite.

\\n\\n

Another spot in that match will be decided on next Wednesday\\u2019s Dynamite - when Dark Order\\u2019s Preston \\u201c10\\u201d Vance faces the Acclaimed\\u2019s Max Caster.

\\n\\n

We also got two new matches announced for Revolution on Sunday, March 7th.

\\n\\n

Orange Cassidy & Chuck Taylor vs. Miro vs. Kip Sabian...and a Tag Team Casino Battle Royal - with the winner getting a shot at the AEW Tag Team Championships.

\\n\\n

It took TWO Beast Bombs, but Nyla Rose was able to beat Dr. Britt Baker last night. Rose advances to the U.S. final in the Women\\u2019s World Championship Eliminator Tournament - next Wednesday against the winner of Riho vs. Thunder Rosa.

\\n\\n

No one is safe on Dynamite!

\\n\\n

First, The Young Bucks\\u2019 DAD was attacked and bloodied backstage by Chris Jericho and MJF. Papa Buck was taken away in an ambulance.

\\n\\n

Sting dragged a body bag out on stage to confront Team Taz - and revealed an unconscious HOOK inside. Darby Allin rode a zipline from the upper deck down to the ring...and Darby and Sting ran wild on Team Taz - Sting laid out Cage with a Stinger Splash and a Scorpion Death Drop.

\\n\\n

Before that, Cage and Ricky Starks did beat the Varsity Blonds.

\\n\\n

Hangman Page beat Isiah Kassidy. Page got an assist from Dark Order\\u2019s John Silver and Alex Reynolds. After the match, Matt Hardy vowed revenge against Dark Order, and got an immediate start on that...by tossing Alan Angels off the stage.

\\n\\n

Jon Moxley blew through Ryan Nemeth. AEW Champ Kenny Omega was only seen in a brief backstage segment - in a workshop - apparently helping to build something related to the Exploding Barbed Wire Death Match between him and Mox at Revolution.

\\n\\n

(STINGER: WWE)

\\n\\n

Adam Cole promised an explanation...for his recent attacks on Kyle O\\u2019Reilly and Finn Balor - but we didn\\u2019t really get on. Instead, we got an emotional and apparently remorseful Cole at the end of last night\\u2019s NXT.

\\n\\n

Don\\u2019t worry. Cole did eventually show his true colors. But first, he was interrupted by Roderick Strong. Who was himself interrupted by Balor - who ran through Strong to get at Cole.

\\n\\n

Cole and Strong worked together to get the better of Balor. Then, Strong clotheslined Cole. Only problem is...Strong seemed to regret it. That allowed Cole to draw him in for a low blow, rip the Undisputed Era chain off Strong\\u2019s neck...and hit him with a superkick.

\\n\\n

Earlier, WWE announced that Kyle O\\u2019Reilly will be out of action for 4-6 weeks following Cole\\u2019s attack on him last week.

\\n\\n

Dexter Lumis submitted North American Champion Johnny Gargano in a non-title match last night.

\\n\\n

Io Shirai is set to defend the NXT Women\\u2019s Championship in two weeks...against Toni Storm. Shirai beat Zoey Stark in a non-title match last night.

\\n\\n

The No Disqualification Match between Karrion Kross and Santos Escobar was more like a handicap match - as Kross battled all three members of Legado Del Fantasmo, starting in the notorious NXT parking lot...before making their way back inside the Capital Wrestling Center...where Kross finally put away Escobar.
\\nA tag title match on today\\u2019s NXT UK. Gallus defends against Pretty Deadly.

\\n\\n

Also, Xia Brookside vs. Nina Samuels. The loser will become the winner\\u2019s personal assistant for a month.

\\n\\n

WWE officially announced the largest class of recruits in the history of the Performance Center on Wednesday. Some of the names have already debuted on NXT TV - including LA Knight, the former Eli Drake.

\\n\\n

Others were widely reported and rumored - but only now confirmed by WWE - including Taya Valkyrie and Blake Christian.

\\n\\n

(STINGER: New Japan)

\\n\\n

The last stop on New Japan\\u2019s Road To Castle Attack this morning. The main event this morning is Junior Tag Title Match - El Phantasmo and Taiji Ishimori defending against El Desperado and Yoshinobu Kanemaru.

\\n\\n

Tetsuya Naito is BACK on the card for the first time since he was sidelined with a knee injury early last week. He\\u2019ll be part of a 6-man tag. He\\u2019s set to challenge Kota Ibushi for the IWGP Intercontinental Championship on Sunday\\u2019s Castle Attack show.
