Danika Portz Live

Published: May 29, 2015, 12:30 a.m.

Join us this week as we welcome country pop music singer songwriter, Danika Portz. Hailing from Remsen, IA., and currently residing in Nashville, TN., Danika has caught the attention of several record labels and publishers around town. Her distinctive sound and style is what sets her apart from the typical country act as her music has been described as a mixture of Mumford and Sons, Kacey Musgraves, and Katy Perry with a voice on par with Norah Jones. Lyrically grounded in country music, yet unafraid to think outside the box melodically, Danika phrases things in such a way that grabs the listener and makes them want more. In Nashville, Danika performs at the Bluebird Café as well as the historic Hotel Indigo, Douglas Corner, and Antique Archaeology (History Channel's American Picker's antique shop). Danika's current album "Set The World On Fire" is available at all good digital retailers. In addition, Danika is currently preparing for a overseas tour with Armed Forces Entertainment this month to entertain the troops. We will talk to Danika about her upcoming schedule, get a behind the scenes look at her music, feature her latest songs, and ask her to share her message for the troops. Please be sure to visit Danika Portz at http://www.danikaportz.com/ and spread the word. Fans are welcome to call in and speak live with Danika during the show (718) 766-4193. If you would like to participate in the live chat during the show, you must sign up on the show site first and then log in during the show. And as always we will give shout outs to our deployed military listeners. Be sure to join us, Thursday 5/28/2015 at 8:30 PM EDT! Our message to the troops....WE do what we do, because YOU do what you do.
