\\u201cThe Conscious Teacher,\\u201d a new book, by author Deborah Poulos, is a unique exploration of how teachers can more effectively teach and students more effectively learn.  Drawing on her 27 years of teaching grades one through six, including eight years in a self-contained fourth grade gifted class, Deborah outlines how she  developed her own unique and effective strategies and approaches to teaching. This book is a compelling up close and personal look at how Deborah developed into an effective, conscious teacher and offers a roadmap to help both educators and parents become more effective and conscious teachers.

\\n

Deborah taught at Anna Kyle in Fairfield, California and Spring Creek in Rincon Valley, as well as  West Davis Elementary, Valley Oak, and Patwin in Davis, California. Since leaving the profession she has been diagnosed with ALS and although she is no longer in the classroom, through her writings, her love of both  teaching and children continues to shine. Deborah, who still resides in Davis, California, is excited to share her new book with teachers and parents.
