Camille Van Sant, a Navy veteran, instructor and entrepreneur, Camille is presently Director of Operation Eco Vets. Operation Eco Vets is a non-profit that assists veterans in training, employment and healing through agriculture and landscaping. Camille began building edible organic gardens in Florida 10 years ago at Crowley Nature Center, Gocio Elementary School and Florida House Institute. Previously known as Green Path Veterans Farms, OEV shares an organic farm at Easter seals of SWFL. Programs at the farm include Boot Camp Gardening Classes, Horticultural Certification from FNGLA and VET REC- a recreational day for veterans and families at the farm sharing a meal and introducing vets to alternative therapies including agri-therapy for help with PTSD and other stresses of life.
