--- Krista Lohr I began my journey in environmental activism as an intern and member of the Florida Public Interest Research Group while attending Florida State University in Tallahassee. Currently, I am happy to serve as the Vice Chair of the Sarasota Environmental Caucus and focus on organizing the programs for the monthly general meetings. For the past 2 years I was proud to be the Newsletter Editor of the Manatee Sarasota Sierra Club Group's BOCA newsletter; and in January of this year I was honored to be elected Chair of the Manatee Sarasota Sierra Club Group. I am also proud to serve as treasurer for the Suncoast Women of Action, a nonpartisan organization that registers, educates and engages voters. During the recent midterm elections, I ran as a candidate for the Sarasota County Charter Review Board on an environmental platform. The Sarasota County Democratic Environmental Caucus of Florida was formed almost a year and a half ago. The focus of the caucus is to educate the membership, candidates and the public on various environmental issues and topics and to work to elect candidates that are strong advocates for the environment
