Public Speaking #1 at LinkedIn Local Boston

I gave a talk for the first time on a panel at LinkedIn Local in Boston. This is a snippet of my parts of the event and what we talked about how to grow and spread your business or personal message with LinkedIn.

I've been actively posting content for the past 6 months on LinkedIn - out of all of the clients I've landed...this seems to be a major pattern I've noticed.

Almost every successful client call usually always starts like this -

"Mark, Every time I open my phone you are always the first post I see. You are everywhere."

Whether it's business relationships or friends I get this all the time.

- Be a content machine. Look at Gary V's content pyramid engine. Use content like a magnet for like-minded people.

- Post every single day but don't lose the value or message. For some people it's possible, others haven't learned how.

- Engage like your life depends on it. If you're not starting conversations why would somebody start one with you?

- Respond to your damn comments. Imagine if someone in real life asks you something or says something...would you just walk away?

- Collaborate with people walking the walk on LinkedIn. Leverage brand equity.
