We have free will, cause existence is nonsense

To a rational mind, the idea of something having no cause and effect is a little too much to handle. By all definition such a thing must be nonsense, since it makes no rational sense. What caused existence? Did it magically come from nothing, with no cause? Or was it just always there? Well because existence simply just is, that means it's not bound by the momentum of cause and effect.
