He is a Certified Financial Planner and the director of investor education for BAM Alliance, which is a community of more than 130 independent wealth management firms located across the United States. Carl is the creator of the weekly Sketch Guy column in The New York Times and a columnist for Morningstar Advisor. His sketches are most known for taking complex financial concepts and making them easy to understand. They also served as the foundation for his first book, The Behavior Gap: Simple Ways to Stop Doing Dumb Things with Money. Most recently this past March, Carl released the book The One-Page Financial Plan: A Simple Way to Be Smart About Your Money.Carl\\u2019s work has also been featured on Marketplace Money, Oprah.com, Forbes,com among others.
