She has portrayed the role of Candylady in Hoodoo Love (winning the Best Supporting Actress Audelco Award) at the Cherry Lane Theatre in N.Y.  Other roles include Tituba in the Crucible, at the Capital Rep, in Albany; Queen Clytemnestra at the Hangar Theatre in Ithaca, N.Y.; Mrs. Antrobus in The Skin of our Teeth Delaware Theatre Co. in Wilmington (Philidelphia Critics\' Award nomination), Winnie Mandela in M: The Mandela Saga (Lead Actress Audelco Award), Elizabeth in The Old Settler Studio Arena in Buffalo, N. Y., Rose in Fences StageWest in Springfield, Mass; and at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Portland.  \\u200b Ms. Johnson also performed at the Edinburgh Festival in Scotland in The Pen and the Podium portraying Zora Neale Hurston & Sojourner Truth).  \\u200b
