Calibrations Episode 2. Feelings Always Win

Do I have to lose everything to lose my fear of losing everything? Powerful question, right? I’ve been turning this over in my head for the past week. The seeds of this question were planted for me to hear in an Abraham Hicks session I listened to on YouTube. I am a big fan of their teachings and listen daily. In this particular session, a gentleman wanted to earn a billion dollars and asked Abraham: what do I need to do? Their response was: want it and believe it’s possible. They went on to say that often the reason we humans don’t have the results we want in our lives … the huge bank balance, the lover and soul mate who lights us up at every moment of every day, the beautiful house on the lake … (ok yes, those are the things that I want :) is because we want things but we block with our belief. We want it, but we don’t believe it’s possible or possible for us, and this holds us separate and apart from the things we want. As someone who recently started over in her life I can relate to the fear of losing everything. In the past 2 years, I’ve released most of what I accumulated in 20 years of life, work and partnership: a 15 year career, an almost 20 year relationship, a comfortable income provided for me largely by my former partner, a lovely large house in a great neighbourhood in Toronto, many of my friends, some family. I released all this in order to rebuild a life that is aligned with who I really am and why I’m here. Interestingly, this fear of losing everything was more poignant for me post-separation than pre-separation. Meaning, it wasn’t until I began building my new life that I noticed fear was driving many decisions related to how I lived and worked. Recently, I received evidence of how I’ve calibrated to a higher frequency and my fear of losing everything is (mostly) gone. What happened? I share my experience of how I identified the belief that was contributing to my fear, how I changed it and the evidence I see now in my physical environment.
