Super powers! The films depicting characters with the ability to fly, shoot webs and ice, watching heros leap tall buildings... are all trying to compensate for the lack of connecting to the heart. When we are not feeling a connection to Love and heart-union, we imagine that we'll find it in fantasy.\\xa0

"If I was Thor, I could be strong and attractive."\\xa0

"Wonder Woman is self-assured, powerful and reslient."\\xa0

When the heart is included in our life, everything becomes more meaningful, beautiful, and the inherent power in us and all around us is amplified.

Without tuning into the heart, life is one of lack, dread, anxiety and depression. The endless experience of fears takes the place of enjoying being present and alive. We might try to replace this deficiency with gorging on social media or food. We will supply this important missing piece with everything and anything that ultimately limits us to subsisting in a small box with which we surround ourself.

From a Biblical view, Satan is what limits us. The dark side whispers, 'be content, don't bother changing, stay in your lane, do not confront or challenge yourself. Do not face your fears, do not cross the line, do not strive to do better. You are what you are, don't bother trying. Play out your strong emotions, just be what you feel. Don't think about the consquences.'

When you live with your heart, these shadow thoughts do not occur, or at least you see them for what they are: fake walls. They aren't really there except if you believe they are. Every culture supports these invisible walls because they regulate how we should interact and produce for the good of the community.\\xa0

I am not saying to not watch or enjoy these kind of movies. They are fun spectacles. Consider, though, that within you are powers. When you allow your heart to be part of your life, you have access to unlimited freedom and joy.\\xa0

We are continually reminded to cover and hide ourself through advertising (buy this, you will be successful, rich, sexy, powerful), and social media (click me!). It becomes a habit to forget that most of this world is a construct of commerce, and not love and respect. You are responsible for restoring the magic and power back into your life through focusing on resurrecting the sacred bond with your heart.

That is the purpose of a creditable spiritual path as Sufism. And, as usual, it is your choice.
