Its 2019 and we’re back from break with three weeks of films from 2014, a year now apparently (and absurdly) FIVE YEARS FROM NOW. I mean really, time is a bit weird, isn’t it? Anyway this week is an uncharacteristically nuanced and deep look at Jonathan Glazer’s Under the Skin, in which we attempt to separate authorial intent from the audience’s experience, discuss the merits of ambiguity versus a cold hard narrative, and stop Chris getting into beef with Scotland.
