In my Father\'s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you." (John 14:1-2 KJV)\\n\\nDeath is a difficult and frightening concept for many. The unknown can create anxiety. Yet as Christians, we can find comfort in knowing that Jesus has prepared a place for us and conquered death so that we may have eternal life with Him.\\n\\nA sick man turned to his doctor as he was\\npreparing to leave the examination room\\nand said, "Doctor, I am afraid to die. Tell\\nme what lies on the other side." Very\\nquietly, the doctor said, "I don\'t know ..."\\n"You don\'t know? You\'re a Christian Man,\\nand don\'t know what\'s on the other side?"\\nThe doctor was holding the handle of the\\ndoor; on the other side came a sound of\\nscratching and whining, and as he opened\\nthe door, a dog sprang into the room and\\nleaped on him with an eager show of\\ngladness. Turning to the patient, the\\ndoctor said, "Did you notice my dog? He\'s\\nnever been in this room before. He didn\'t\\nknow what was inside. He knew nothing\\nexcept that his master was here, and when\\nthe door opened, he sprang in without fear.\\nI know little of what is on the other side of\\ndeath, but I do know one thing ... I know\\nmy Master is there and that is enough\\n\\nThe story about the doctor and his dog illustrates this well. The dog bounded into the room, overjoyed to be with his master again. He didn\'t know what was inside, only that his beloved owner was there.\\n\\nSimilarly, we may not know everything about what lies beyond this life, but we know our Savior is there. His presence ushers us into paradise with Him when we pass on from this world. What a wonderful truth! Jesus defeated death and opened the way to eternal life. He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. As His followers, we can trust Him completely.\\n\\nNo matter what uncertainties we face, we can cling to Christ. His love and sovereignty are unshakable truths.
