At day\'s end as we lay down to sleep, we can again give thanks for God\'s hand of protection and provision throughout the hours.\\n\\nLiving with gratitude keeps our focus on the Giver rather than the gifts alone. It helps guard our hearts from feelings of entitlement, dissatisfaction, and complaining. Instead of focusing on what we don\'t have, gratitude shifts our focus to all that we do have - which is always more than we could ever deserve.\\n\\nThe Bible reminds us that apart from God, we can do nothing (John 15:5). Every breath, talent, and opportunity comes only by His grace. When we remember this, gratitude leads us to a place of humility, joy, and peace. It causes our souls to magnify the Lord who is so good and worthy of all thanksgiving.\\n\\nMay we never take God\'s goodness for granted but maintain hearts overflowing with gratitude.
