Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king."\\n\\n\\nThe focus of this verse is that idolatry is like the sin of witchcraft. Just as witchcraft involves rebelling against God and relying on sources of power apart from Him, idolatry relies on false gods rather than the one true God. Both are examples of stubborn rebellion against the Lord. When we reject God\'s word and persist in worshiping what is false, we face His rejection.\\n\\n\\nThis is a clear call to wholeheartedly follow the Lord, resist idolatry in all its forms, and embrace His word above all else. God desires our full allegiance. Half-hearted obedience is ultimately disobedience.
