Front Porch Grace Eph 2:6-10

b'There is a "Front Porch Grace" that precedes repentance in all of us. Theologians call it Prevenient Grace. I grew up some in the South and at the time I lived there most houses had expansive front porches some of them screened in to keep the bugs at bay. In my mind like those front porches were for getting to know someone before you let them in the door. You would be called over while on a walk to vern\'s corner store and called onto the porch for a spell then if a good time was had by all you would be invited in for some pie and ice cream and some ice cold sweet tea. God is using prevenient Grace to draw us to him (called to the front porch) and in response to that drawing demonstrating Grace we repent and come into full relationship with God. We come into the house with full fellowship.and provision. The important thing is we didn\'t invite ourselves in we were called to the porch and won over by God\'s goodness leading us to repentance and thus into full fellowship.'
