2 Timothy 4:1-5 In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: 1. Minister Relationally (Rom 12:15) – be with people – you have chosen to wrap up your life in the lives of others 2. Minister Faithfully (Gal 6:9) – invest in what you can’t immediately see – invest in eternity 3. Minister Authentically (1 Tim 4:16) – be an authentic example – watch your life & doctrine 4. Minister Truthfully (2 Tim 4:2-4) – speak the truth even when it’s unpopular – speak prophetically 5. Minister Strategically (Eph 4:11) – focus your energy on equipping – set boundaries so you don’t neglect what is important 6. Minister Sacrificially (Eph 6:7) - go beyond what is expected – people won’t see most of what you give yourself to 7. Minister Devotionally (Phil 3:10) - put God above even ministry – don’t find your identity in what you do for God
