Why Ordering from the Factory is a Win-Win-Win

The pandemic has pushed the automotive industry in a direction that automakers have been seeking for years - getting the public to order vehicles, rather than just buy them from dealer stock.  New vehicle dealers have had to pay millions of dollars in interest to maintain large fleets of new vehicles for sale on their lots.  With the shortage of vehicles and intermittent factory schedules, some forty-one percent of vehicle buyers now expect to order their next vehicle.  The factory wins because its only building sold orders, the dealers win because they are not incurring massive expenses to support vehicles that may not sell and the consumer wins because of the potential savings received from an optimized sales channel.
